Privacy Policy
TipLog is a tip tracking app for service workers. We built it to be useful without being invasive. This policy explains what data we collect, where it lives, and what we do with it.
What we collect and where it stays
Your data — recorded tips, shifts, categories, notes, and all statistics — is stored locally on your device. It does not leave your device unless you explicitly share or export it.
Your preferences, onboarding answers, tip-out rules, currency settings, and app settings are also stored locally using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults and the app's local file system).
Purchases
TipLog offers an in-app subscription processed through Apple's App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase verification and restoration. RevenueCat may process transaction identifiers and device information as part of this service. We do not have access to your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.
No account required
TipLog does not require you to create an account. We do not ask for your email address, name, or any personal identifiers to use the app. The name you enter during onboarding is stored only on your device.
No ads, no data selling
TipLog does not show third-party ads and does not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
Analytics
TipLog does not currently include analytics SDKs. If we add any in the future, this policy will be updated before they go live.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, TipLog schedules local notifications on your device. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any network requests or third-party services.
Data deletion
Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data. There is nothing stored on our servers to delete. You can also delete all your tips from within the app at any time via Settings → Delete all tips.
Security
TipLog is designed to keep your data on your device. While we have built the app with security in mind, no app or device can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Children
TipLog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
